Alfie Briggs December driver of the month

Racing Driver Directory (RDD) proudly presents its December 2024 Driver of the Month award to Alfie Briggs, the remarkable 17-year-old British racing talent who has demonstrated exceptional skill across multiple racing disciplines, culminating in a championship-winning season in Masters Historic Endurance Legends (MEL).

Alfie's motorsport journey began at age 5 at Whilton Mill's Mill Circuit, where his early dedication laid the foundation for an impressive karting career spanning a decade. His progression through karting included successful campaigns in: - Bambino (3rd in debut race) - IAME Cadet - X30 Mini - Junior X30 - Junior Rotax - Junior ROK - Senior Rotax

Following his comprehensive karting experience, Alfie transitioned to car racing through the Junior Saloon Car Championship (JSCC) in a Citroen Saxo, earning his International C Race License before advancing to prototype racing. His 2024 season achievements in the Masters MEL Championship have been nothing short of extraordinary: - 12 pole positions - 8 race victories - 3 second-place finishes - 1 third-place finish - 5 fastest laps - Overall Championship victory at age 16

Racing highlights from 2024 include: - Debut LMP3 success with Britannia Motorsport in their Duqueine - Multiple podiums at iconic circuits including Brands Hatch and Zandvoort - Progression to LMP2 machinery with BBM Sport's Honda ARX01 - Impressive performances at the Silverstone Festival in a BR01 LMP2 - Class victory and overall win at Mugello.

Upon receiving the RDD Driver of the Month award, Alfie shared: "I am really proud to have been nominated as Driver of the Month, it is particularly special as I turned 17 a week ago (10th December), so massive thank you to everyone at RDD for making my month extra special. 2024 has been an awesome year for me... There is a lot going on behind the scenes for 2025 which we can't reveal at the moment....
